Currently, programs are being developed at the Linkages Project which help to analyze and visualize kinship and other network data.

Douglas White has a fully developed set of tools called P-Graph, for MS-DOS, for analyzing and vizualizing kinship datasets. The new Pgraph, the Package for kinship and marriage network analysis, now feeds data to Pajek, UCINet, and GEDCOM programs

Jeffrey Stern, a graduate student, is working on kinBASE, a windowing kinship database program under dBASE for MS-Windows, and the second generation of NetGraph, a package for symbolic and algebraic visualization, under the cross-platform Mathematica environment.
