Reasons for significance in findings: A) Search for locality in which
the trend exists
B) Violence & divorce; prominent cultures with certain backgrounds--not
just a minor detail, rather an a casual means of behavior, accepted under
normal circumstances and quite habitual.
C) What kind of violence is to be established: 1. The goal of this
paper is to link internal violence with divorce, where the former is an
essential predecessor of the other. 2. Categorize the different kinds of
violence; several varies ranging from conflict among a community, disciplinary
actions on children or spouses, or retaliation against an enemy.
Rough draft
Within the realms of this paper, the study concerning violence and
divorce can be a difficult one to establish. My attempts in proving a link
between violence and divorce appear prosperous, yet contain many ambiguous
leads that require much recognition and attention. In beginning the report
of this paper, material of other cultures needed analysis, where only the
applicable information must be stored in an orderly fashion and presented
with much coherency and vividness.
My research Sometimes your hypothesis doesnt work
worldwide (no overall correlation); instead it is only applicable in certain
regions of the world. Prior to beginning this paper, clues had to be set
into place, and a lead need developing.
My lead came about by following specific traits in the data of the
computer program. Investigation of variables that measure the SAME concept
is called the study of reliability. You can correlate and cross-tab these
sets of variables to see if they measure the same thing. The idea is to
get the CONCEPTS in your hypotheses in line with the MEASURES you use in
terms of the variables, or recodings of the variables. Multiple measure
of the same concept add to the reliability of the study through correlation
with each other. Independent correlations of such multiple measures with
measures of other concepts specified in the hypotheses are evidence for
replication. You would like to show your findings use reliable measures
and that the findings replicate to show consistent relationships between
the concepts as stated in your hypotheses. b) Separation in marriages,
often a choice of the male, made on his own free will. The concept of morality
responsibility inextricably linked with notion. Senses of responsibility,
role requires a person to be bound to perform whatever duties are attached
to their distinctive place in a social organization. Casual responsibilities-refers
to production of effects; another feature, capacity responsibility is a
person's ability to understand and behave according to the dictates of
law or morality. These factors were important when analyzing the the people
of each culture. As repetitious as certain characteristics seemed, relentless
efforts fortified a solid foundation for my purpose, alerting me that I
was in the right direction.
What I have uncovered while researching and analyzing
my data is that my hypothesis did not work on a universal basis, rather
it applied to certain regions of the world; mostly involving Africa.
My task for writing this paper was a simple one: to find and to record
evidence of a connection between violence within a society and the frequency
of divorce. Attempting this feat required a proper defining of the terms
whereby excluding topics that might be related but not quite within the
sole purpose of my paper. Secondly, in order to fully under stand a society,
I saw a need to include a short, but concise background about the differing
cultures so that a reader, should they doubt the savageness of a society,
may then understand some of the motives behind a particular people's actions
due to the society's economy, marriage & ceremonies, and social conflicts.
These factors contribute to identifying and to distinguishing traits of
each culture, so as to prove that different tribes or societies were inspected
to validate my hypothesis.
Looking into each continent of the world, the general regions displaying
the violence and divorce factors were Africa and South America.
Surprisingly the likeness of this combination, regardless of how common
this may be in most cultures, showed in the areas mentioned above according
to the statistics in the SPSS data sheet. Aware of the overwhelmingly tribe-like
fashion prominent in Africa and those existing in Latin America, I can
now integrate knowledge from my history class about the savageness nature
of people in Africa and the apparent possibilities in Latin America.
The African people owe their increasing violent nature to the Europeans
during times of Colonialism in the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
Ever since the import of guns and the distribution of firearms among African
people, the expansion of tribes through military means--such as capturing
and integrating prisoners into an empire--look for among the people and
encouraged raiding and feuding of tribes with power tools of destruction.
This advantage in firearms of one tribe over another, in addition to vastly
populated units, made mobile tribes a treat to passive and already established
tribes.
The significance of this summarization, is that violence was, and at
times, area in which these people know much about and therefore could be
characterized as just that, violent people. Realizing the pattern of behavior
just described, I can then look for the evidence of divorce among the different
tribes to justify my hypothesis.
Considering the work done using SPSS, I found myself dependent on the
data given about my variables. One helpful hit guiding me to a productive
route was the association of societies with the proper statistics of each
variable. Being able to recognize a consistency of data from both variables
for each society meant the correlation was met; jotting down these leads
fed me a detailed list a valuable contenders.
That is a "lead" to follow in your research. Investigation of variables
that measure the SAME concept is called the study of reliability. You can
correlate and cross-tab these sets of variables to see if they measure
the same thing. The idea is to get the CONCEPTS in your hypotheses
in line with the MEASURES you use in terms of the variables, or recodings
of the variables. Multiple measure of the same concept add to the reliability
of the study through correlation with each other. Independent correlations
of such multiple measures with measures of other concepts specified in
the hypotheses are evidence for replication. You would like to show your
findings use reliable measures and that the findings replicate to show
consistent relationships between the concepts as stated in your hypotheses.
